Christian Initiation for Adults - both individual and group sessions are offered year round for those seeking Christian faith in their lives. Some may wish Baptism, others the completion of their faith journey through Eucharist and Confirmation. Christian Initiation for Children - a program similar to that provided for adults. However, the catechizes for children will be under the direction of the Religious Education Formation Facilitator and the parents.      First Eucharist - is generally celebrated in a group, after Easter. Grade 2 is the usual time for preparation and reception, but the older child is also welcome. Meetings or preparation are held with both the children and their parents in advance of the sacrament.      Reconciliation - although offered to children in Grade 2 prior to receiving First Eucharist, in Grade 4 a year-long study of the sacrament is provided, culminating with the children receiving the sacrament as a group during Lent.      Confirmation - usually celebrated in Grade 8, although older children may be included. In addition to regular religious class attendance, there are special meetings with the parents and the confirmants. A retreat is also part of the preparation. Religious Education Teachers and Aides - St. Daniel's religious education is for all parish families with children P3 through the eighth grade. Training and certification are provided for volunteer teachers and aides. Secretarial assistance is also sought. St. Daniel's Child Care Ministry - Bible Kids Preschool is a 9-month (September-May) program for children ages 2 through Pre-Kindergarten. Our program focuses on the principle that children learn through hands on experience. Our curriculum is theme based with developmentally appropriate activities offered daily in the "hands on" learning centers. Our themes will include a Bible concept each day that is age appropriate along with prayer at the beginning of class and snack time. We celebrate the Christian holidays with Jesus as the focus. Open registration for the next school year is the first Monday in February beginning at 1:00 pm. Class is 9:15 to 11:45 am Monday through Friday.
